Injury scare for Furman, Jali

Midfielders Dean Furman and Andile Jali sat out Bafana Bafana’s 6-1 victory over Limpopo’s ABC Motsepe League log leaders Molemole Academy FC in a practice match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.

Furman and Jali are nursing a bruised rib and thigh muscle strain respectively, but Bafana team doctor Thulani Ngwenya is not worried about the two’s injury setbacks.

Tebogo Langerman, also with a thigh muscle strain, and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams are also being monitored.

Dr Ngwenya said that the injuries were nothing to worry about and the players are expected to be fully fit for Saturday’s crunch match with Senegal.

The Bafana Bafana/Senegal game kicks off at 3:00pm, and tickets are on sale at Computicket, Shoprite and Shoprite Checkers Stores countrywide.
