The January transfer window sees PSL clubs hard at work as they finalize contracts with players as they come due.
Amid speculation about Itumeleng Khune’s uncertain future at Naturena, reports confirm that Siphiwe Tshabalala has been offered a new two-year deal by Kaizer Chiefs and is likely to put pen to paper in the next few days. Furthermore Kaizer Chiefs stand-in captain Tefu Mashamaite will sign a new contract when the club returns for duty next week.
Kaizer Chiefs also saw David Zulu joining the team as a player. But the biggest shock came when Supersport United FC announced that they have signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs striker Kingston Nkhatha on their twitter account. The Zimbabwean international is said to join Matsatsantsa on the 1st of July 2015.
Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United are also said to have expressed an interest in Free State Stars defender Daniel Cardoso; while Mamemlodi Sundowns have their hand full as they try to keep the services of Bryce Moon and Punch Masenamela who are said to be unhappy with their game time offered by the Tshwane club.
Orlando Pirates are said to be one of the clubs in hot pursuit of Platinum Stars’ Tshepo Gumede, this as Dikwena have made it know that after failure to reach consensus on a contract renewal with the 23 year old left back, they are open for offers on the player. Orlando Pirates will hard pressed to secure the player after an ankle injury sustained on national duty has left Thabo Matlaba not fully available for the club to use in Q2, and reports coming out of the Bafana Bafana camp are that Patrick Phungwayo has also been ruled out of the AFCON 2015 due to a knee injury.
